About

My passion for the field for speech-language pathology began when I worked as a Mental Health Therapist in central Pennsylvania where I was born and raised. After receiving my bachelor of arts degree in Speech and Language Hearing Sciences from Temple University in 2013, I needed hands on experience working as a clinician to ensure I had what it takes to make a difference. I worked with autistic individuals between the ages of 2 to 18 years for nearly 3 years using the DIR Floortime® approach. By implementing a relationship based approach, I became dedicated to respecting and honoring an individual's whole self. Since then, I returned to the field of speech-language pathology and have impacted the lives of many children, teenagers, adults, geriatrics and their supporters.
I have carried a relationship based approach into my practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (and previously as an assistant) by using neurodiversity affirming practices across all populations and settings. Having received a masters of science degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University, I have also gained a comprehensive and extensive education supporting the research behind such empowering practices. Settling in San Diego, California since 2016 has also challenged my multicultural awareness as I work with diverse groups of people including but not limited to language, dialect, religion, beliefs, history and life experiences. My work does not stop with treatment as I am an avid advocate for ethical practice and quality of care.
